Let Us Be Loving 2009

A 1 track soul single (3m 15s) — released November 23rd 2009 on Little Poppet Ltd

There's big love out there for Alice Russell, just avoid filing her in Neo Soul, Mainstream Dance or Rock Pop. Alice should be present alongside Amy Winehouse, Duffy and Adele. Also got the ability to be alongside Aretha Franklin, Bette Midler and Shirley Bassey. Alice has a substantial shared fanbase amongst the Ninja Tune, Warp, Def Jam, Wall Of Sound and Tru Thoughts labels, and has received DJ support from - The Nextmen, Daddy G (Massive Attack), DJ Vadim, Mr Scruff, TM Juke, Nightmares On Wax, Lauren Garnier, Ashley Beedle, Toob/Red Snapper and more.. 'Intense, declamatory yet soulful vocal tones with a dash of gloss and retro chic' Time Out 'No wonder David Byrne has got her on his next record' Clash Magazine Ask Me PR have just serviced Let Us Be Loving to Radio 2 and 6Music for playlisting. Jackie Gill (Jonathan Ross) is pitching to key Radio 2 DJ's and Jools Holland's later. Alice has had support from mainly niche stations and DJ's, except key support from Craig Charles, Tom Robinson and Gilles Peterson. Gilles Peterson's choice cut from 'Pot Of Gold' was 'Let Us Be Loving', so Alice recorded a punchier single version for release. This single is released to coincide with Alice Russell's UK tour in the last few weeks of November.
